The preliminary hearing for 43-year-old Sacramento man, Derrick Dimone Woods, charged with felony charges of Murder with a Special Circumstance for Inflicting Torture in the Commission of the Murder, Assault on a Child under Eight with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury Resulting in Death, and Abusing or Endangering Health of a Child, with an enhancement for Infliction of Great Bodily Injury Upon a Child Under Five Years of Age During the Commission of a Felony is schedule to begin March 30, 2021 at 1:30 pm in Department 8 of Yolo Superior Court. The hearing originally scheduled to begin April 2, 2021 was advanced at request of the attorneys. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, the District Attorney will request the court not broadcast the hearing on the Superior Court’s live stream.
