Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced that his office has filed a formal criminal complaint against 43-year-old Sacramento man, Derrick Dimone Woods, alleging felony charges of Murder with a Special Circumstance for Inflicting Torture in the Commission of the Murder, Assault on a Child under Eight with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury Resulting in Death, and Abusing or Endangering Health of a Child, with an enhancement for Infliction of Great Bodily Injury Upon a Child Under Five Years of Age During the Commission of a Felony.
Woods is currently being held on no bail in the Yolo County Jail. The arraignment on the criminal complaint is scheduled to occur today, February 18, 2021, at 1:30 pm in Department 1 of the Yolo Superior Court.
