(Woodland, CA) – March 1, 2017 – District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced today that Yolo County Neighborhood Court will host a presentation on “Mental Health Systems” on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Davis Police Department, 2600 5th Street, from 6pm to 8pm.

Sandra Sigrist, who is the Adult & Aging Branch Director of the Yolo County Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA), will be the presenter. She will provide an overview of the continuum of care and six areas for focus for care in the HHSA Adult & Aging branch, supportive approaches, and perspectives for dealing with clients with mental health and substance use disorders. Supervising Deputy District Attorney, Christopher Bulkeley will also present on the Yolo County Mental Health Court.

District Attorney Jeff Reisig praised the efforts of Yolo County in improving services to mental health clients. “We have made excellent progress throughout the County in the area of mental health services and the criminal justice system,” said Reisig. “The DA’s office, Health and Human Services, the Court, the Public Defender and Probation have been doing incredible work in this important area.”
