Woodland Man Convicted of Child Molestation

(Woodland, CA) – November 24, 2015 - District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced that a Yolo County Jury convicted 49-year-old Woodland man Daniel West yesterday of three felony counts of child molestation. The jury heard evidence that West molested the victim sometime between June, 2010 and July, 2014 at a residence in Woodland. The Woodland Police Department investigated the crime and arrested West in January, 2015.

The jury trial started on November 2, 2015, and concluded with the reading of the verdicts yesterday morning in Department 8. The Honorable David Reed presided over the trial, which included the courageous testimony of four juvenile girls. Judge Reed is scheduled to sentence West on January 4, 2016. West is facing 11 years in State Prison.
