West Sacramento Man Arrested in Child Sex Sting

(Yuba City, CA) - June 23, 2016 - Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced that on June 22, 2016, Yolo County District Attorney investigators and Sutter County District Attorney investigators participated in a joint on-line child sexual exploitation sting operation.

Nathaniel Tyler Bennington Sands, 36, of West Sacramento was arrested on June 22, 2016, shortly after 8:00 pm in the 1600 block of Butte House Road in Yuba City. Sands was arrested on probable cause that he attempted to communicate with a minor with the intent to commit lewd acts; he attempted to commit a lewd act on a minor under the age of 14; and he attempted to arrange a meeting with a minor for the purposes of committing a lewd act. He was arrested as he was attempting to meet with a minor for the purpose of committing sexual acts.

Sands is being held in the Sutter County Jail without bail.
