(Woodland, CA) – May 15, 2020 – This past week, three more individuals previously released from custody as a result of California Judicial Council’s Statewide Emergency “0” Bail Schedule were charged with new crimes. The “0” Bail Schedule became effective April 13, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Twenty-eight-year-old Woodland man Dwayne Durant was arrested on April 24, 2020 and was released from the jail as a result of the “0” Bail Schedule. He is a participant in Addiction Intervention Court and is currently on probation for felony “Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person.” Durant was again arrested on May 9, 2020 and again booked and released from the jail. Prior to the “0” Bail Schedule, Durant would have remained in custody on bail due to his felony violation of probation. Durant remains out-of-custody and his next court date is set for September 24, 2020. On that date he will be arraigned on the additional drug related charges.

Woodland man Robert Rodriguez, age 31, has been arrested and released on seven separate occasions since March 30, 2020. He was cited and released by the Woodland Police Department on one occasion and after the six other arrests, he was booked at the Yolo County Jail and then released pursuant to the Emergency “0” Bail Schedule. After the latest arrest on May 6, he was booked and released from the jail and given a future court date for October 6, 2020. At that time he will be arraigned on seven separate complaints alleging felony attempted auto theft, possession of burglary tools, and drug related charges.

Chris Jackson, age 50 and from Woodland, was arrested on April 28 and May 8, 2020. He is currently on parole on Post Release Community Supervision after spending a term in state prison for “Killing, Torturing or Wounding an Animal.” In addition to the new charges, he is in violation of his parole. After each arrest, he was booked into the Yolo County jail and then released pursuant to the “0” Bail Schedule. Prior to the “0” Bail Schedule, Jackson would have been subject to bail due to his parole violation. His next court date is October 7, 2020 when will be arraigned on two complaints alleging “disorderly conduct” and “trespassing.”
