Shaun Moore committed a petty theft and sexual battery within 5 days after being released from jail
(Woodland, CA) – April 29, 2020 – Sacramento man Shaun Lamar Moore, who was released from jail after taking a COVID-19 specimen from Sutter Davis Hospital, will face additional charges. The Yolo County District Attorney had charged Moore, age 40, with felony “Attempted Possession of a Restricted Biological Agent, felony “Burglary in the Second Degree,” and misdemeanor “Petty Theft by False Pretenses” as a result of the Sutter Davis crime. Moore was arraigned on these charges in the Yolo County Superior Court on April 15, 2020. The Yolo County Superior Court ordered Moore released from jail as a result of California Judicial Council’s Statewide Emergency “0” Bail Schedule, which became effective on April 13, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The court ordered that Moore be supervised by the Probation Department with a requirement that Moore wear a GPS tracking device.
Three days later, on April 18, Moore committed a petty theft in West Sacramento. And on April 20, Moore committed a sexual battery in Woodland. Moore is currently being held at the Yolo County jail. Moore was in court today and his supervision violation was addressed with bail being set at $10,000. He will be arraigned on the misdemeanor sexual battery and petty theft charges, and violating terms of his Probation Supervision, on April 30, 2020 at 1:30 pm in Department 1 of the Yolo County Superior Court.
