The Yolo County DA is sad to announce the death of Daisy. Daisy was the first official working comfort dog in any California District Attorney’s Office. In 2008, she joined the Yolo County District Attorney’s crime victim assistance program as a pilot program in which she worked regularly for 12 years comforting and accompanying hundreds of child victims and law enforcement personnel facing very emotional and difficult situations, during investigations, therapy sessions and court testimony, stopping only when the global COVID-19 pandemic required it in March of 2020.”
