The Yolo County District Attorney Workers’ Compensation Fraud Unit is actively inspecting businesses and companies in our community. We do compliance checks to make sure they are following the law. In this video you will see a video used as evidence to successfully prosecute a man posing as a roofer and contractor. Contracting without a license and not having workers compensation insurance is a crime in the state of California. This video was captured from a body camera from one of our investigators. On the video you will see the homeowners in the background to the left and the unlicensed contractor closer, to the right.
